I bought these birds for fun so that they could settle in an old birdcage that my husband found. The birds were too big for him, so now they just sit on my windowsill in the kitchen. They don't actually respond to sound or light, but they do respond to movement and vibration, such as vibration. B. closing a cupboard or placing a pot on a countertop with excessive force. Then the sweet chirping of these little birds begins. It was fun when they sing and I find my husband picks them up every morning. There's no volume control, but they're not too loud.
