I work in industrial water treatment and try to keep molybdenum in the 100-200ppm range. I was hoping to use these strips to quickly check inhibitor levels. A fairly large discrepancy was found compared to the DR 900 high range molybdenum test. For example, sticks are listed at 250 to 300 ppm and DR 900 at 105 ppm. I think this is a good use for simply determining if there is any molybdate left in the loop. In addition, the colors seem to remain constant. So if you measure the color over time, you should see if it drops off significantly, which indicates you need to add more chemicals. a specific range that I would recommend using the actual spectrophotometer method.
