I've had plastic cutting boards for years. Of all the ones I've had, these are by far the best and probably the last I'll have (meaning I don't have to replace them or look for another brand). They hold the knife very well, and although the knives leave marks, they are flat - almost like light scratches - and not the grooves found on softer boards. The non-slip edges are slightly raised so they grip the counters very well. They also clean up amazingly. Carrots, chili peppers, fried tomatoes, etc. all come off without leaving a stain (I clean the boards almost immediately so I don't leave food on them for long). The only negative I can say about them is that they have a hole for a pen. Personally I don't like it, I like solid cutting boards but most plastic boards will do and that doesn't affect their ability to get the job done in the slightest. I would recommend them to anyone who likes quality cutting boards that are easy to clean and won't get scratched by knives.
