Ordered this cover for DRZ400 in March 2021. I only ride the bike for 2-3 day adventure rides. Since the purchase in March 2021 until today I have ridden twice. When I went to fill up recently I noticed that the gasket that used to be in the cap is now gone (because it fell into the tank) and fuel was leaking out the top of the tank where the cap sits while I was driving . When I got home I had to take the tank off the bike and drain all the fuel to get the bits of dry, hardened and cracked gasket out to keep it from clogging and/or bypassing the fuel tap inlet valve. carburetor. The rubber used in this gasket is not intended for use in systems where fuel is present. After struggling with this issue, I read all the reviews related to this known issue. Too bad I didn't read them before buying the cover. For the solution I bought a few sheets of 8" x 8" Fel-Pro rubber grommets designed for use where fuel is present. I traced the circle and cropped it to size, it seems to be working. The aluminum lid itself is fine and worth the $17 purchase price, but I would pay more for a better designed lid that uses the right materials. I've read complaints about the breathing valve hose wearing out too, so that's another thing to keep an eye on. I would not buy this case again.
