The best way is to heat and stretch it before use.

Once you get the hang of it, this thing is really good. Glue one edge to the glass and heat it, stretch it a little, then cool it, then use a crumpled stretched mess. Works great, only heats up when needed. and blue fiber is basically the same as black as you edit it. I didn't heat the piece in the picture at all, having heated it in front of my hand. I'll definitely be getting more of this stuff. I think next thing I'm going to do is wrap my Weiner dog
