Use beeswax! A lot of these reviews say teeth get stuck in the skin, which is true at first glance, but if you prep your teeth with beeswax, it works well. At first I was disappointed because I thought I wasted my money, but once I figured out what the trick is I thought I'd share to help other handymen who might be struggling. I wish spring was better but that doesn't matter as it doesn't affect anything. Went through 8-9 oz of unconditioned vegetable tan. The spacing is a little big for me, but I prefer a narrower stitch line than average.
