Review on 🔪 Lansky Super Sapphire Hone S2000: Highly Effective Spare Sharpener for Superior Results by Courtney Knight

I gave 5 stars because I think it deserves them. The Lansky system is my first knife sharpening experience. I have a diamond sharpening system and added it because I wanted a sharper edge. It definitely delivers! Considering the amount of money I paid and the sharpness I now get on my knives, I find this addition to my Lansky system invaluable! Edit: I wanted to point out that the item I received was different from the one pictured. My motif was not a blue pencil with a blue stone, but a blue pencil with a white stone. But the packaging said "polishing stone". I don't see this as a problem but for others like me who are a bit nervous about items not being as pictured. Achievement Update: I can't tell you how much I love this little guy and what he's doing to finish my blades sharp! I had a newer knife that lost its factory sharpness, I mean I use it a lot at work and it was still very sharp, but I like really sharp knives. I smeared the stone with oil and got to work. When I was done, I checked it out on paper, for those of you who don't know what it's like when you hold a piece of paper and cut it down. When the knife is sharp, it cuts through the paper. The sharper the knife, the fewer burrs you'll see on the paper. It was a clean cut. Very clean. I've read a few reviews saying it doesn't work and I implore anyone who doesn't have a great finishing edge to compare their angle to their original angle. All others lead to no results. It is a very thin stone and does not sharpen the blade. It is good if you iron it more than 24 hours. 10-15 at right angles gives incredible results. Update 2: 2018-09-10 Still using it. Be wary of its ability to provide precise sharpening angles on one side. Overall disappointed.
