I am very happy with this lens after a week of use, including a short vacation. Images are reasonably sharp on the 24MP camera. Maybe not good enough for Fe mount cameras over MP, but I can't say for sure. Autofocus is fast and precise in good light. There is some low light hunting, but personally I don't find it terrible. I've spent more on lenses that don't perform better when it comes to focusing, and I'm less annoyed with this lens because I didn't pay much for it. Flash is nothing to worry about - well controlled. The instances where you have to block the light with your hand seem pretty rare. I didn't pay attention to the fringe but there are loads of reviews online with all the essential info if you want to check it out. In terms of ease of use, I think it's a good lens for the price, especially given the full-frame 35mm alternatives e.g. It's a very plastic lens, but it's also very small and light, so there's a trade-off here. What you lose in durability you gain in value for money and weight you can carry. If you're on a budget but really want to try a 35mm prime, I recommend it. Its super small size makes it very convenient to use as an outdoor lens and I think the iq is good enough for most people who need ambient portraits. I don't expect this lens to last long in the rain, being dropped, or going through a lot of bumps and bumps, but I could be wrong. I don't have much time to say for sure. It seems so light that it is hard to believe that it is very strong. The time will show.
