Review on Samsung Galaxy S10E GSM Unlocked πŸ“± Phone with Dual 12MP Camera and 128GB Storage by Hideo Ebara ᠌

I am satisfied with everything, both price and quality, I advise you to buy.

All the shortcomings, IMHO, are not significant compared to the advantages, with the exception of one: heating turned out to be a more serious minus than I expected. I don't play games at all. I mainly use applications: chrome (vk + news sites), youtube, soundcloud. I alternate the use of wi-fi with the mobile. Internet (at the same time never included). With similar tasks (from among the above), performed at different times of the day, the smart can both frighteningly (in my opinion) heat up and not heat up at all. I climbed through the settings, trying to slightly reduce the load, I did not find any effect. The diet has not been cut. It is worth "optimized" + the slider "adaptive power mode" is active. So far, I have discovered the only pattern in which in 90% of cases there is a noticeable heating: when with on. wi-fi smart moves away from the wi-fi zone, until the connection is lost. Example: I get out of the subway car, in which wi-fi is turned on for the whole trip, wi-fi leaves, I walk 100 meters (music + whatsapp, weather, other tasks in the background are not performed in the player or in the cloud, mobile Internet is disabled ), while the stove is already heating + apparently throwing firewood is an attempt by the antenna to catch a cellular connection that is unstable in this place. The case temperature is annoying even taking into account the fact that the smart is packed in a reinforced plastic case from Samsung. The previous sony z1 compact (6 years faithfully, still in service, not a single ate for all the time) began to warm up 3 years after the purchase + while it feels quite comparable with the s10e for the same tasks and perhaps even less often and less, the truth of course was not so smart. I don’t know whether to believe this: the sensor in the antitu shows the CPU heating up to 50 degrees with active tasks. And around 30-35 in rest / background mode. In another sensor from the play store, the CPU heating indicators are below 10 degrees, respectively. : After almost half a year of use and several ates, it became less heated and the heating became weaker. The most significant drawback for me has almost disappeared.

Pros
  • 1. Design. The first Samsung that went by design. 2. Body. Feels expensive and monolithic. It has a pleasant weight (I don’t like very light smartphones). The famous backlash of the button either didn’t fall on me, or I don’t consider it a backlash. I have minimal movement. Size 3. I quickly got used to it after the sony z1c, and without any problems I manage it with one hand (I'm a full size M person) without fear of dropping it, given that the smart is sitting in a reinforced Samsung case. Case by the way fire. It is more reliable and more convenient with it (the cold glass and metal of the smart is certainly more pleasant, but they slip, blur, the smart is quite thin, and it is not always cold, more on that below). 4. The main photo (in daylight in auto mode, I like pictures, even in the evening by the light of lanterns or just in light twilight, sometimes it turns out well for my taste). Once AI messed up with the sky during the day (it planted some kind of spot on it, and could not remove it, even turning off all the help). It seemed to me that the worst thing is taking pictures under artificial lighting (incandescent lamp) in the evening indoors. Well, the night here looks weak (I saw the huawei). 5. Photo wide It lags behind the main one in detail and color reproduction, and obviously for some other things, the correct names of which I don’t know, it distorts at the edges, but in some situations it helps out a lot. Useful thing, I use it. 6. Video (I haven’t tested it yet, but I can say that the stabilization works great and writes sound well). You can switch from main to wide and back right during the recording process. 7. I liked the speakers. They sound tight. Nothing rattles, nothing chokes. 8. Intuitive shell. Got it and got used to it in a day. "Gestures" rule. 9. Quickly bites into the mobile Internet and wi-fi, mob. The connection is also ok, in general, smart does not lag and does not buggy. 10. Fast charging. 11. The sound in the headphones is decent, but a more or less suitable audio player will not replace. 12. I liked the display. I switched from ips - discomfort 0. In the dark, I use a blue filter, it reduces eye strain.
Cons
  • 1. Heating (I will describe in the comments). 2. Battery life. Significantly increased in a month. In general, always easily enough from 8:00 to 0:00. I don't watch movies, I don't play games. My approximate "maximum" usage scenario from 8:00 to 0:00: music from FB through a browser or through the soundcloud application in headphones - 1-1.5 hours + web surfing in chrome - 1 hour + maximum 1 hour of YouTube videos + Photo (5-10 pictures) + Video (5-10 min.) + wifi / mobile. Internet in the ratio of 80% to 20% + cellular communication - 10-20 min. + a little correspondence in whatsapp. Brightness is half almost always. So, with my most aggressive scenario, about 10-20% of the charge remained by 0:00, and with a daily one, at least 40-50% remained. BUT. The use of google maps exacerbates the situation. Adding to the "maximum" scenario of "walking" in Google maps (30 minutes a day with geolocation turned on), there is a risk of not bringing it to 0:00 before charging. In general, until the evening there is enough with a small margin. 3. Lack of light. indicator. 4. Fingerprint sensor. A slightly sweaty finger causes problems. 5. Auto-rotate is hard to think. : Six months have passed, auto-rotate has even reduced its points. 6. With an incoming call, the sound is only from 1 speaker. It would be great if you could optionally put stereo. : 7. I began to notice a problem in Google maps. Often incorrectly shows the direction of movement of the location point. Calibrating the compass in the application solves the problem, but not always right away and it looks idiotic from the side (you stand and twist your smartphone in the air). On z1c I drove with maps without problems and did not even hear that there was a compass calibration. : 8. The edges of the screen are not curved, but the front of the smart is slightly rounded, so lovers of protective glasses may experience difficulties in selecting them. Basically, glasses either leave the edges of the screen free, or, if they cover the screen a little more, they do not fit well around the edges. Glass on the entire front with black frames can interfere with covers. I ended up sticking a hydrogel film
