There is a wheel on the front of the lighter. You must turn this wheel to turn the gas on and then you must turn it back to turn the gas off. This wheel is very uncomfortable and makes using the lighter inconvenient. The wheel is also out of round, sometimes the gas glows, sometimes it sputters, sometimes you have to turn it back and forth to get the flow. The spark is big, but it lasts a few days before you need to change the flint. The gas flow needs constant adjustment because when you first fill your lighter the gas won't ignite unless it's set low etc. You'll either have to keep adjusting or keep refilling. until it breaks I used this lighter for maybe 7 days.
