Surprisingly powerful. I used it to drive 3" screws into 2" cedar wood for 2 hours. Even if the device heats up over time, it cools down quickly. But more importantly, it's strong enough to get the job done well without any issues. I am completely satisfied with that. It's also smaller and lighter than the 18V Black & Decker I had previously. However, it far outperforms the old 18V drill. Update: It's been a year and this drill still works as it did right out of the box. The battery also holds a charge for a long time.
