Review on ACDelco 25809368 Original Equipment Trunk by Dwayne Quarles

It fits, works and I'll be happy if I can live with him for 2 years. I like it.

At first I was confused because it says Delphi on the label, but after browsing the internet I found out that Delphi is actually ACDelco. They require the Cadillac trunk lid to be lowered. Don't wind them up first as I've read as you destroy the integrity of the connection. This requires a T-27 torx and you tighten it rather than trying to tighten it and stress the plastic. I think that's why my predecessor broke. This is the second I have fitted to this 27 year old car. It takes a whopping 30 minutes to do the job, and if you're right-handed, you'll have to twist the torx bit in the trunk. Plug it in by pressing the small tab on the lid's latch, making sure the hook is up and not down, and if it's up, gently lower the lid. Don't slam it; get used to this habit. Keep your old parts and you can restore new parts in the future if needed. There are many sellers at Revain who sell the same parts, but prices vary. It's a lot cheaper than going to the dealer or local parts store.
