Forget the Park and Pedro. Your snap ring removal tools are complete crap. I've been trying to remove a stuck locking ring from a stuck rear hub for over a year. I have both a snap ring tool and a Pedros locking tool. None of them were helpful. Did a little research and came across this tool. Received in the mail today, I removed this stuck retaining ring in less than two minutes. Literally. If you need to work with fixed rear hubs, this is the tool for you. To be clear, I have a lot of park tools. They make a lot of great tools. Pedros also builds a lot of decent instruments. This is no blow to these companies. This is a blow to their design of snap ring removal tools. These tongs are such an amazing improvement over any other design. If you think the Park Tool HCW-17 is junk. You're right. If you are looking for the right tool to remove the rear hub snap ring, this is the tool for you.
