Review on ๐Ÿ”ช KYOKU Shogun Series 8" Serrated Bread Knife - Japanese VG10 Steel Core Damascus Blade - with Sheath & Case - Professional Grade by Sabrina White

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great knife for crusty bread.

Damn, this knife is incredibly sharp. As I unrolled it with the plastic sheath still on the blade, I slammed my finger on the jagged edge and lost the skin. I bought this knife to slice the crusty sourdough bread I bake. I have several other highly rated bread knives, but they almost always tend to rip the loaf apart, especially when trying to slice it thinly. This knife cuts through top crust, soft crumbs and hard bottom crust with almost no effort and absolutely no tearing, even when cutting very thin slices. The blade has two slightly curved teeth, but this is an optical defect that does not appear to be affected. Blade performance, it's a good weight and balance, the handle is comfortable, well shaped and big enough for my big hands. In general I am very satisfied. Be careful of the edge, careless handling will cause bleeding.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
