Handles sway well but has a few issues

I was pleased with this hitch's ability to control sway in 3 months of ownership but had a few issues. I ended up welding on the MIG mount so it never slips off again. 2) A popping noise was heard when turning into a steep curve. I finally left and made a sharp turn in the parking lot and stopped halfway to see what was going on. It looks like the ball won't spin in the plastic insert. So I took it apart and popped the ball out to find the top third of the plastic insert had eaten away and bits had caught on the ball's shaft. I called Andersen and they said it wasn't normal. I'm waiting for her decision. UPDATE: I spoke to Andersen's local rep. I received a quick response and the plastic insert is under warranty. You have to change it yourself, but it's better than nothing. I also decided to replace the ball joint as my old one has weird corrosion where the liner was eaten away. It was sold at a reduced price. Amazing customer service from Andersen!
