This vacuum cleaner does exactly what it was designed to do. I grew up with a rainbow and wanted to go back to a water filter because our HEPA filtered vacuum smells like it's blowing dirt into the air. Can't afford a rainbow and am intrigued by the new vertical water filter design at a good price. I live in a rental house with white Berber carpets that must be from the 90s. There is a black dust streak along the edges of the rug that makes my floors look like they came out of a coloring book. I used the crevice tool to clean up this area and it came out better than I could have imagined, I would love to take photos. We also have a short haired Saint Bernard and he did a great job vacuuming hairs out of the carpet and the small tool used with the hose turned into a large duster as I moved around the house. My house is just over 2,000 square feet with large rooms. The water canister lasted about two rooms before needing to be drained and cleaned, which was a simple process. The air quality really surprised me. We live in the woods of Arkansas and my son has asthma and we both have allergies. Stuck at home due to the pandemic, I invested in seven air purifiers to keep us healthy, so I didn't expect our air quality to be any better than it already was. I cleaned about half the house and took a lunch break. I noticed that when moving from clean rooms to unclean rooms, the air quality fluctuated greatly. If you have asthma or allergies this is a great device for you. Here are my cons of this vacuum cleaner. That is hard. At nearly 20 pounds, pushing it around the house is a workout. I would not recommend it for the elderly or those who have difficulty lifting heavy objects. It does not have a self-moving function, so the user only has to move it. A metal tube rises from the roller head and extends up and down. This is a handy feature if you want to clean something under something or if you are tall. However, the vacuum cleaner's main shaft, where the water resides (the heaviest part of the unit), pivots left to right and while that helps with turning, it annoys this user when they fall over while going straight. Pause to straighten it out again and fold it again. The hose works well, but mine has a slight kink in the line after one use. The cap that covers the port where the hose goes in is difficult to open and requires more hand strength than mine. I had to keep asking my son to open it for me. (For comparison, I am a 40-year-old woman). Then there is the issue of stability. I have high cathedral ceilings. So when I use the hose to remove the cobwebs from the ceiling, it's fully extended. The base of the device is not wide enough to support the tension when the hose is fully extended. The device can be held to prevent falling. However, at 20 pounds it's impractical to repeat this around the house. The kit sold by Revain does not include a wet vacuum attachment. Most likely you will need this application. The user places a water canister in this vacuum at an angle until it clicks. I spilled it once just because it wasn't fully engaged. A kit with this mount is pictured in the book, but I couldn't find it anywhere on the internet, not even on the company's website. I emailed them and they responded in less than 12 hours and gave me a link to eBay. An additional set is $50 for anyone interested. All this to say that although a little laggy and clunky, I would buy the unit again because I think it cleans better than a HEPA filter.
