*Update 12/01 Still using it, The battery cover is the most annoying thing in the world I've switched to Duracell batteries and they seem to last better. Do not set the preset immediately to save battery life as alarms will cause the thermometer battery to drain very quickly. I only set the preset after I've reached the set temp so it notifies me when it's out of range. But not when it's climbing up/down because it keeps beeping and wasting battery power. It works well and is easy to use. A few things that let me down: 1) The battery cover is a nightmare to open and close. It's basically flat 2) eats batteries like crazy even after I turn off alerts (if you don't, it eats batteries in about 3-4 hours) 3) turns itself off sometimes - not a big deal, but if you do need, this still works while you're in the shower on the second floor of your house - get something with WiFi.
