zero complaints. Too much fun!

Works great. The documentation is pretty good, but suggests a few steps that are no longer needed for Raspbian Stretch. The sample software worked great. After a couple of evenings of programming, I can send him just about any image, and he does a pretty good job of rendering it in just three colors. I bought it as a silly name tag but some of the pictures are so good that I now want to do more with it. That. I bought a hat to be handy when not being used as a name tag. The buttons are a bonus I plan to play with in the future. Very nicely done, I would really like to use this for output from data collection devices. This gave me the great idea of triggering a screen refresh with the current IP at the push of a button. The current toy-priced Pi hardware makes me dizzy with possible combinations of this hardware. I still don't know how long the image will last because I update it several times a day. Goes at least 12 hours. It perfectly reproduces three colored cartoon characters such as the shepherd Sam, the cat Sylvester and Pepé Le Pew. Processes almost anything found in a Google image search for black and red.

Pros
  • Extremely low power consumption, power is mainly needed only for upgrades
Cons
  • No paint required
