Review on Stant 10511 Locking Fuel Cap by Eduardo Locke

Stant 10511 is slightly taller than the OEM gas cap so the gas cap does not close. Revain has developed several options that are said to fit the 2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 (as well as the Uplander, Saturn Relay and Buick Terraza) and I've narrowed down the list based on which resembles the old factory cap on the car. Most notable was the triangle on the white part that comes in contact with the filler neck. Only one looked like mine so I bought it. The cap that arrived did not look like the photo but exactly like a Gates 31844. I assume Revane mixed up the photos as the picture on the box shows a square key instead of the round key that Revane in the photo plus on The cap had an "S" logo on it, like the Gates photo. In any case, it should fit, but since the fuel filler flap doesn't close, it's going back. View photos of the Gates cap with the square key and the "S" logo. It's obviously the same cap, so there's no point in trying it. I think I need to buy a real OEM for more than double the price.
