Review on 🚀 Cobra XRS-9830 Radar/Laser Detector – Advanced 12-Band Technology for Enhanced Detection by Brad Ward

I bought this radar detector about 7 months ago and since then it has saved me at least 4 times from cops who had all turned off their roadside headlights (so you wouldn't see them until it is too late). This detector usually lets me know about 0.4-0.75 miles ahead of the radar signal (more likely 1000-1500 feet if the signal is blocked, i.e. the soldier is parked behind a concrete barricade). Overall I'd say it's worth the money as a speeding ticket in Pennsylvania costs around $200! Again, mine died under mysterious circumstances within 8 months of owning it. I contacted Cobra who was kind enough to send me a warranty replacement. After 9 months the WARRANTY REPLACEMENT died due to the same mystery. I contacted Cobra, they said they can't ship anymore because I've already received a warranty replacement. I have the feeling that the electronics in the detector are simply not designed to withstand a lot of heat (like in the windshield area during a long car trip in midsummer). I always put it in the glove box when I park. Better product design could solve this problem. but still I lost a few hundred dollars. lame.
