Review on ZLYC 12 Inch Acrylic Vintage European Style DIY Quartz Gear Wall Clock by Nikki Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm glad I read through the reviews enough to get to .

I'm glad I read through the reviews enough to get to a few that were reasonable in their expectations. Yes, the simulated wood gear base is darker than pictured and is not wood. It still goes with my wood framed mirrors that I use at 12 & 6:00. Yes, the hands are delicate. It's a clock, not a vice grip. I'm no scientist but I figure clock hands are light weight because a small mechanism has to move them for a very long time. The hands came in great condition, and I still had to carefully manipulate a little curvature to get clearance for each hand. No Biggy, I expect to have to do that with a clock that has no face or cover. As far as instructions go, mine came with a slip of paper showing on what axis to place each hand (carefully). Like all clocks … hour hand to the back, minute hand in the middle, and second hand on top, out front. I loved the simplicity of this thing when I saw it on the site, and I love it as it sits upon my wall. I get great comments on it, and am so glad I bought it every "Time" I look at it. Could not resist the pun. Oh . . . and it doesn't make a sound. I love that.
