So I looked for a train/air horn for a while before I pulled the trigger and bought it. I have an Air Bagged Silverado so I already have the entire air system on board with a large nitrogen tank, 2 compressors and a 5 gallon tank for backup. My system runs at 160 - 250psi. I added a 400psi ball valve from a home store to the tank to shut off and/or adjust the airflow and routed it to the horns mounted under the bed where the spare tire was located. When my truck hits the frame rails, the down tube is about 3 to 4 inches from touching the pavement. It took a bit of work to swap out the fittings for 1/2 Airline, but not too bad. Plugged in the switch and gave her a test. Now I don't know anyone with a slide horn or an air horn so I can't tell any difference in tone or volume, but the WOLO 850/847 is VERY LOUD! I have Chrom 850. I run it at 160psi (WOLO doesn't suggest it's in psi). It takes a second for the valve to open at that psi, but it opens within a second or so. no problems so far. and yes VERY LOUD some of my friends will be picking up the phone soon. oh FYI you could just get a bottle of peanut nitrogen and a regulator and your biz.2500PSI should last a while. and you can adjust psi wherever you want. no compressor or tank, hope this helps!
