Review on Rusco Separator Sediment Water Filter by Joseph Harkins

I wanted a sand filter with a transparent body and couldn't find it anywhere. Raven comes to the rescue. While I would have preferred the inlet and outlet ports to be smaller, I reduced them to 3/4 and the device works great. Just what I needed, when I needed it and at the right price. I've had it for two years now and it has easily solved my sand problems. If the valve is correctly positioned during installation, cleaning the strainer is not difficult. My faucet cartridges and fill valves don't need any attention at all since this installation. I wash it about every month and clean the screen once a quarter. I apply a little o-ring lube before reassembly and only hand tighten them.
