A good security addition to any antenna
The product name may be overly ambitious. It probably can't prevent a lightning strike from doing damage. However, it can dissipate high surge voltages generated by nearby lightning. It should be near the earth rod, which is connected to the rod with thick copper wire. Cut the coax cable and plug in a PL-259 connector on each side. Screw them onto a lightning rod on SO-239. Installation completed. You may feel a little more comfortable but still remove the antenna cable from the radio during a thunderstorm.
