Review on Peugeot Elis Sense U Select Pepper by Chris Litton

LOVE IT (after changing the batteries)

I've had several Peugeot salt and pepper grinders over the past 20 years including the original model, the rechargeable model and now this new Touch model. First, they're great, but a word of caution: they don't last forever. On average, I've had to replace one about every 10 years, which is normal. Once you get used to the convenience of an adjustable electric coffee grinder, it will be difficult to ever go back to a manual coffee grinder, especially if you work a lot. Cooking and you're a big fan of freshly ground spices. So far this has been my favorite of the three models I've had but I almost sent it back. As a longtime owner, I already knew how to disassemble it and put in the batteries, pepper and put it all back together. (It's a little tricky - NOT totally intuitive - so if this is your first time using a Peugeot electric coffee grinder, read the instructions.) However, when I set this grinder up, it didn't work. So I sat down with the instructions and made sure I did everything right and it just doesn't work. upset. I've resigned myself to having to send it back. But I decided to make one last try by going to the market and replacing the batteries that came with the meat grinder with new ones from the store. VOILA! Works great. I'm glad I don't have to send it back. I've read reviews of machines that stop working prematurely so I'm hoping this one will last as long as the others. If it stops (no pun intended) I'll try replacing the batteries. On the other hand, we all know that Peugeot can be spirited!
