Note. I had some issues with the device being over tightened in the cup holder due to over-tightening during initial installation and having a hard time detaching it the first time, but this was remedied by gently manipulating it and removing it from the cup pulled retainer and then readjusted the mechanism with the tension release ring to return the device adjustment threads to the desired direction. Just don't overdo the installation like I did and you won't have any problems. It was my fault for over tightening and you shouldn't have a problem. I would highly recommend purchasing this device - it's a lot better than other cup holders I've looked at and has a much better gooseneck under the phone keypad. It also has a much better side hold mechanism with a button on the back that releases the side locking tabs when you remove your phone from the mount.
