Norpro 1280 grapefruit spoons are the best! I bought these along with other premium (customer) grapefruit spoons from WMF Manaos/Bistro and they aren't even close. The latter just don't cut very well, they have tiny prongs and cut as badly as one would expect from the outside. But these Norpro 1280 spinners are incredibly sharp, with big TEETH. If you cut with both spoons and compare them at the same time, the Norpro cuts through grapefruit pulp and pulp MUCH better! These Norpro turn signals do everything they are supposed to and are much lighter and faster than others. The spoons mentioned above just work a lot easier. These Norpro spoons are very attractive, like the other spoons mentioned above, and they are as strong as other spoons, no brand buckling with use. It's just that these Norpros have much better teeth, are larger and, due to the lack of sharpness, cut much easier without crushing the grapefruit. Highly recommended! I can't think of anything negative, except that a small child or elderly person - or ANYONE - could very well cut themselves on the sides of the mouth or tongue if they quickly and haphazardly insert this spoon. If you eat with them you have to be careful!
