Every time we buy something new (mattresses, carpets, a house!), that's the first thing I buy. I'm very sensitive to smells and while I don't like the smell of a sponge, it alone is superior to alternatives. Gassing mattresses, furniture, carpets, superstructures, wood stain - all of this makes it difficult for me to breathe and makes me uncomfortable. The air sponge does this pretty quickly. We just built a house that uses spray insulation. The last time we used it in our extension, I had to stay home for a month and had allergies for two years. I used an air sponge before moving into this house and I was able to stay. No allergies. No breathing problems. We got lots of new furniture, mattresses, and carpets, and the air sponge improved their outgassing in a matter of days (two) and imperceptibly in less than a week. For me it is short. If you're not as sensitive to these things as I am, maybe this product will rock even more :-) I LOVE these things. They make my home cozier.
