The old tires were Nokia Hakapelita R2s from the previous generation. I used them to drive around Hong Kong for two winters and two summers before deciding not to replace them. I made the decision to get these new ones before winter. I scheduled it for early October, when the temperature dropped to +7 degrees and below and the weather calmed down. Now that November has arrived, the weather has been frigid and snowless. The tires perform superbly under these circumstances. The cabin suddenly quieted down, and I quickly increased my speed to 60 km/h from the previously feared 40 km/h. It was initially frightening because I thought it would push me to one side, but it did not. the impression that the asphalt is sticky when accelerating. ABS does not function when braking, even very hard. I am unable to speak at this time about the operation during a typical winter. Tires from the past - no issues or concerns. These ought to be at least as effective.
