I woke up today and my room with the air purifier on low keeps the particle levels in good shape. I keep the windows closed and the bedroom door open a few inches to let in oxygen. I noticed this morning that the rest of the house was 1500+ for PM2.5, I remembered leaving the shower window open so shut it. The level was 2000+, I turn on other air purifiers and go outside to check, there are 3000+! checked airnow.gov and the AQI in my area was at an unhealthy level (100-150 AQI). It's amazing because when I look outside I can see a layer of smog from a mile away. Before checking the AQI I thought it was just morning fog. Update 4/11/16 - still use it regularly. Having owned this tool and CO2 meter for several months I can say they are still in regular use. As for my do-it-yourself Vornado fan filter, placed in the living room but not used. Filtering works, but is not as efficient as GermGuardian. Maybe it's the design of the fan. I use the GermGuardian at low power (30 watts) for nighttime sleep. Keeps RM very low. I keep my bedroom door open about 6 inches to keep CO2 below 1000ppm (usually stays between 600-800). I've noticed that I can wake up earlier than usual and also feel a little more rested.
