Review on Enhance Security with Prime-Line K 5148 Door Strike Plates - Set of 3 by Brian Vasquez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm giving it four stars because it only comes with two screws.

This is a set of three door closers (ie the latches are attached to the door frame where the storm door's spring latch hooks). These plates are sold by Prime-Line Products of Redlands, California (dotcom Prime-line-products) and are listed under model number K-5148. The plates are made in China and are made of die-cast zinc. They are brilliant silver in colour. The package contains two 3/4" screws and three counter plates that are 2 1/4" long and 7/16" wide. There are no pads in the package. Although the three panels are the same length and width, each differs in height (i.e. the distance the latch protrudes from the door frame). Three heights: 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2". The strike plates are well made with fairly thick metal and a solid construction (compared to the old thin metal plates I replaced). They have slotted 1/2" screw holes that are angled so you can vary the position of the screws to some extent. These strike plates appear to be of good quality but I'm only giving them four stars because only two screws are included. With three plates one would think that the manufacturer would have included at least four or even six screws.
