Unpacked and at first glance like a normal soldering iron. After using it, I was impressed with how well this tool works. First, it has a 70 inch cable. There were no problems with the length of the cable. Once plugged in, it quickly warmed up to operating temperature. It lasted about 90 seconds. This thing gets very, very hot. Hot enough for almost any application. A few tips: 1. Follow the suggested repair methods.2. DO NOT press the tip hard to melt the plastic. It's not mandatory. Let the tool do the work.3. If the iron sits for more than 5 minutes, it is recommended to turn it off. Very happy with this tool. GOOD PRICE-PERFORMANCE RATIO! This tool just saved me $150. The mounting tab on the back of the new heated mirror is broken, glass replaced. Managed to weld it in place stronger than it was! 👍🏼👍🏼
