I bought this radiator for my son's 1997 Toyota with 168,000 miles. He moved from New York to California and drove cross country. Before leaving, he changed the timing, headlight assembly, went through other parts and serviced the cooling system. The OEM radiator was partially corroded and lost some of the cooling fins. The rusty radiator was fine for city driving in upstate New York, but not for off-road driving. The new heatsink seems to be built pretty well, it fell straight down, the nipple connections are solid and when I lifted it off the highway it handled the cooling load. The car still has a long way to go in the Southern California heat, but I see no reason until it can handle the heat stress. I installed this radiator at the start of winter and have been waiting to see how well it works before writing this review and in fact I think it takes a year to get a real review whatever the weather.
