Just keep trying - Diagnostic, Test & Measurement Tools

This cable and software really works. I downloaded it on an old Win 7/32 laptop and it took a while to set up both the cable driver and the Techstream V16xxx software but eventually it all came together and opened up in my 04 Camry. Code scan/engine info while running + ABS info is very cool but my 16.xxx version doesn't automatically clear ABS. I still think it's worth installing. Bypassing the registry KEY software block seemed impossible, but what helped me was loading everything and then running the 32-bit code (provided in minicd programs) last, and that finally initialized a real run where there was no problematic Registration window gave and the program carried out the communication to the end of the Camry. Another observation was that if you have a cable plugged into your dining table and the cable drivers are already installed and you run the Techstream main program v16xxx exe, the cable light will blink either once or twice when something is communicating. One more thing in my case: when Techstream started talking to the Camry, I manually entered the engine info, VIN, and TMMK lineage info (by that I mean I didn't expect the program to recognize anything) - and once the 'fill in the gaps' in that last field loads and you get a nice 'continue' button, then you're in business. Be patient and forgive. There is a bit of truth in the included guide as well as other sources on YouTube. My Opinion: Be the elephant in this software china shop and just keep trying and progressing through trial and error. Cool thing, it works.
