It's already very cold in New York and I bought this heater for my eldest son's bedroom because he has the largest bedroom upstairs and the thermostat in the other is much smaller Number. So the thermostat turns off the heating when the set temperature is reached in the small room, while my son's large room is still not warm enough. This is a great heater with a well thought out design. I like that it has a notch on the handle. on the back where you can easily pick it up and take it to another place. It also has a safety feature that turns off automatically when you take off the ground. This is very important if you have a pet that could accidentally knock it over. It also comes with a remote control, which is a nice feature, and all temperature settings and functions are displayed digitally on the LCD screen. Finally, the timer function as well as the oscillation function is a nice touch. I found it very quiet but it produces a lot of heat so it heats up my son's room pretty quickly. It has an ECO mode to save power (I think it consumes 800W compared to 1500W in high temperature mode). I also appreciate that the timer can be set anywhere from 1 hour to 12 hours in 1 hour increments. My son always uses a timer for 1 hour before bed. Highly recommend for a small to medium sized bedroom or office.
