Weak metal, broke twice

It worked really well at first but I ended up having to take it off to clean it and the damn thing broke on me leaving a thread in the air compressor. All went well and then a piece just came loose and it was painful to remove the remaining piece from the thread. I figured maybe I screwed it up in some weird way and would have to use the compressor again, so I tried putting it back in and the damn thing broke somewhere else. It wasn't hard to turn, just very weak metal
