This is a great kit to get started with the Raspberry Pi but remember that even if you don't overclock the Pi there is a risk that it gets too hot for a number of reasons. First, while the case is sturdy and easy to assemble, it doesn't have a fan, and since it's made of plastic rather than metal, it doesn't disperse heat as well (and therefore function as a heatsink) as it would otherwise. Energy. However, I liked the case and think it would be ok for low impact Pi use. The other reason is illogical. This kit includes a pair of small heatsinks for CPU and GPU. I found that even after switching to an aluminum case with a fan, the Pi was getting too hot, even without intense power demands. And after some research I found that a common problem with CanaKit is that heatsinks actually prevent heat dissipation, probably due to the type of adhesive used. Fortunately, the heatsinks aren't that difficult to remove - if you run into this problem, try separating the heatsink from the chip with a piece of string. A good kit for an amateur, although it can be improved.
