I bought this stick scanner for genealogical work, to scan family photos and articles. I like it. It's easy to use and does a pretty decent job. However, it may take some practice to use it properly. You must be able to move the scanner evenly and smoothly over the object to be copied. Any slight uneven movement will distort the image. I often do multiple scans when I feel like I'm not moving smoothly enough. Downloading to a computer is easy, and any duplicate or garbled scans can be easily removed. For the price I think it's a good buy and I've found it very useful. I use it mostly at home, but it's easy to carry around if you need to scan something outside of the home or office. I'm glad I bought it.
