Review on 🔪 Marples Chisel Sharpening Tools: Enhance Precision and Durability with Model 1786757 by Marcelo Apriando

I bought this set primarily for a sharpening guide. I chose Irwin because it was inexpensive and I have always been happy with their tools. I cannot recommend this sharpening set. The sharpening guide is colored as shown in the picture. I didn't really think about it when I bought it. The paint is thick and uneven, especially in the groove that holds the chisel. The guide seemed to hold my chisels better after scraping the paint off this channel. It seems he's still holding the chisel at a slight angle. But I didn't measure, so maybe it's ok. I think this sharpening guide can be made to work with a little modification. The stone is bad. It's like everything is screwed up. One side was concave and the other convex right out of the box. I can try to smooth the stone, but most likely it just ends up in the trash.
