Review on Totally Bamboo GreenLite Dishwasher Cutting by Ivrington Miller

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not dishwasher safe although advertised as such

I have a small dishwasher safe bamboo composite chopping board that I have had for many years and it is holding up extremely well. It's great for slicing small messy things like soft cheeses or sweet breads that are difficult to separate from a traditional wooden cutting board and I wanted a different one. I saw this one on sale that said "Dishwasher Safe" and decided to give it a try. Big mistake, because even for the $10 I paid for it, it's a plagiarism. I've washed it in the dishwasher once, ONCE, and it cracks and falls apart. Garbage. The size is ok, although very thin. Because of this, it's more of a tray than a cutting board, as it offers little protection for the knives. Even without a dishwasher, it feels and looks pretty cheap despite its price. It's the quality of something I would expect at a dollar store or a Wal-Mart discount store.
