I bought two of these aerators to use in my basement bathroom faucet that did not have an aerator. The flow out of the faucet before using the aerator was 1 liter in 4 seconds which is pretty awful (4 gpm). I measured the flow per minute 3 times for each setting to make sure I wasn't wrong. What I actually get is: 0.5 GPM Flow Setting: 0.85 GPM. 1.0 GPM Flow Setting: 1.2 GPM 1.5 GPM Flow Setting: 1.55 GPM (close enough). I would have preferred the 0.5 GPM only option, which actually achieved 0.5 GPM, over the cheap (threads seem to be poor quality, problems may arise later) aerator with 3 flow options that achieves rated flow in just one setting . However, this is still a significant improvement over not having an aerator.
