I used these to replace old 100# lifts under our king size bed. They worked great. Before with the 100# lifts it took one person to hold bed - heavy to lift, and another person to get under and grab blankets/sheets/etc. I suspect the old lifts were also worn out even though still had some compression. However, with these 150# lifts one person can lift the bed with one hand and it will stay up. Then it is easy to push down. Have not taken on trip yet, but so far very happy with them. They fit our old brackets so I did not have to remove the brackets. Just lifted the clips to remove the old and slide on the new. I had issues with one of the clips but I think that was more operator issues as I was trying to do it myself holding bed up and changing lifts. Should have had help.
