I knew plastic and metal weren't ideal materials to work with with the right tone, but to be honest, that's exactly what I wanted. In particular, I've been looking for small spheres to create different types of prints as I've been fascinated with tidal erosion patterns on rocks lately. As you can see, my first experiment had a lot of rounded indentations, which made me very happy. Silicone tips have enough power to work with clay that is no longer soft and sticky. Plastic with a specific seam out of the mold but to be honest I wasn't here for that so I'm happy with what I got. The other parts are much better and nicer in my hands. The metal is smooth and unblemished, perfect for polishing. They also work well with polymer clay and air dried clay if that's your thing.
