Review on Universal Shop Vacuum Hose Adapter - WORKSHOP Wet/Dry Vacs Vacuum Adapter WS25011A 2-1/2-Inch to 1-1/4-Inch for Enhancing Shop Vacuum Accessories by Robert Farrar

I don't know about y'all but the vacuum hose sizes in the store are ridiculous. Rigid, ShopVac, craftsmen and who else is small. Either make them in standard sizes, the same as standard PVC, or at least specify the ID and OD dimensions of the joint in advance. I got this adapter to attach my hard vacuum/vacuum cleaner to my DeWalt miter saw. Vacuum to Adapter Hose manufactured by Rigid (Model LA2550, 2-1/2" x 7 ft. Tug-A-Long Locking Dual Flexible Vacuum Hose for RIDGID Wet/Dry Vacuums). The adapter fits snugly enough on the end of the hose. The smaller end will not fit a DeWalt saw. I had to heat a piece of PVC and stretch it around the end of the adapter. The other end of the PVC was also stretched the same amount to fit the saw snugly. Aside from the questionable specs about the adapter's size, it works as expected. The plastic can be and feels a bit flimsy, but I don't expect to toss it around so it should be fine.
