Good valve and price. However, the included double-threaded connector is a poor choice for use as a vessel attachment. The included male-to-male connection is not intended as a divider and will leak against the silicone disc inside the kettle even after the nut is tightened. This valve does not provide a watertight seal due to the smaller sealing surface (middle of the male-male junction and the fermenter wall). Also, this part is cheaper than a real bulkhead, hence the total price of the entire installation. As a result, I had to purchase a bulkhead to make it truly watertight, causing my overall cost to exceed that of a similar full set of valves, bulkheads and gaskets. I would not recommend using this product as a boiler valve only. It can be used to connect to an existing socket (1/2 NPT pitch).
