Review on πŸ”‹ AA Battery Charger 8-Bay + 8 Pack AA Batteries 2800mAh: Fast USB Charging, LCD Indicator by Brad Wall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It includes 8 batteries of 2800 mAh each

First of all, the really nice feature of this charger is that you can simply charge any number of batteries from 1 to 8 at the same time using all the available slots, instead of having to have a couple of batteries to charge. It was a problem with my old charger, I had to wait until I had an even number of batteries before the charger worked, for some reason it didn't work for an odd number of batteries. Now, with this charger, I don't have to worry about this problem anymore :). It comes with 8 2800mAh 1.2V batteries and 2 plastic carrying bags for the batteries. Some of these batteries are pre-charged at different levels. The ones I received, 2 out of 8 took just under 15 minutes to fully charge while the other 6 took anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. During that time I tried different ways to charge these batteries, ranging from a regular 5V USB port to different power adapters. So, based on these tests, I've found that my iPhone's power adapter charges these batteries much faster than my computer's USB 5V power port or the USB ports on my power strip. The batteries and device get a little warm when I use my phone adapter to charge, but not that much and that's not a problem. Another thing I noticed was that simply disconnecting and reconnecting during charging gives different results or readings from the charging LEDs. Some of them turn green this time, but red again after a reboot (connect and disconnect) and vice versa. However, once all batteries are fully charged, all green LEDs will flash all the time or turn green again within the first minute after reconnecting. Therefore, you should remember that you just have to let him finish loading. fully (all green lights are on) and don't worry about what I did to check and those batteries should be fine :). Although the batteries are rated for 1.2V, I checked with my voltmeter and got readings in the 1.4-1.45V range after a full charge. The charger has overload or overcharge protection so I wasn't too concerned :). Overall, the charger works well with these batteries, which are slightly more powerful than my old 2450mAh batteries. One more thing, according to the manufacturer, this charger is not recommended for charging Lithium or Alkaline batteries, they only work with Ni-MH batteries.
