I have tried a suction cup grater and an industrial grater. While the suction cup was awkward to use, this one is pinched and won't budge. Helps enormously if you want to rub quickly. The protective plastic case is great if you have kids. It's more like you fix it once and then use it. Usually finds its place on the kitchen island. The transportation is troublesome, the only thing that confuses is the price.
