Review on ๐Ÿš— Lasdoloda Buffing Pads & Polishing Pad for Car Polisher: 5-Inch/125mm Drill Attachment with 5 Pcs Buffing Pads, Drill Polishing Kit by Robert Blanton

Revainrating 3 out of 5

worth the money - no real complaints

This review is for 5 inch felt backed foam pads for use with electric buffers. I'm an indecisive "car". I check my cars twice a year to keep them in good condition and catch rust before it gets worse. I'm not super all about it, but I take it seriously enough to do a good job. I bought these polishing pads because unfortunately as I get older it becomes difficult to apply carnuba and polish within a reasonable amount of time and can sometimes cause pain in my wrists. I decided to up my game a bit. Waxing your car is NOT an option - I live in the Midwest. North Midwest. A piece of land of ice and snow - and road salt These polishing pads do exactly what I wanted them for. Again - I'm "undecided" so instead of buying a special buffing tool just to wax, I ordered 5" pads and put them on my Makita RO grinder and LOW RPM. Works great. I can grow in almost a quarter less time than before. So why 3 stars? Why not 4? Or 5? Well, 5 stars for idiots who like to break the rating system. These pads are good but they didn't help me win the lottery. Then why not 4? Because with the pad I chose (green, "Soft Polish"), the felt underlay began to come off after just one application. I used polyurethane glue (thick and sticky) to reattach it and had no more problems with it. But it still had to be fixed. The price was great. When I bought this set I paid $11 (June 2020). Other options were double what they were then. These things fluctuate, you never know. I was mostly happy with the purchase. I would not recommend or judge this product. It's decent and a good buy for the price, but you may need to glue the backing back onto the foam pad like I did. So I used one of these to apply wax paste to my table saw and miter saw. Worked great, like car wax. I used one that was too stiff for use on a car (blue, "medium cut"). Happy with the result.
