4 out of 5 stars. There are several reasons for this. It only analyzes up to 95%, in contrast to 98% of more expensive multi-refrigerant models. It uses the exact same technology and as it is rated for R134a it should work 98% of the time in my opinion but it is what it is. The second reason is the error display. I just received this device and had a job to try it on. After setting to T, during the warm-up period, the error indicator started blinking. In the manual it gives codes for 5 errors as it flashes 1-5 times. It does not determine how often or how long the pause is after an error code. My device kept flashing, without pauses. Under the error codes it is written, if it flashes 6 times, call technical support. For all other malfunctions, disconnect the power supply, press the light bulb 10 times and wait 30 minutes. Since it was a continuous flash, I assumed it was "6". However, I turned off the power, pumped the lamp ten times, and did other things. About an hour later I tried again. Same thing, this time I'm calling tech support. On the phone I described the problem and was told what to do and asked to return the unit. Having bought it from Revain I was fine although disappointed that the 500.00 unit was faulty right away. I turned off the power again, pumped several times, more than 10, reconnected the device and restarted. This time it has gone through the warm-up phase and is ready for calibration. I followed him until I saw the result of a run on a system I had just made and filled with new R134a (Dupont, Genuine). Tried it on another machine in the shop with the same results, then tried it on a recovery tank with the same results. Out of curiosity I tried it on an empty system and got an error reading plus excess air so at least I know it won't go through an empty system. One reviewer said it was slow and gave it one star. It's almost as fast as a more expensive device, not as accurate, and doesn't display actual percentages. But due to the price difference and being the only one in my area who even has ID, this will be fine. I give 5 stars if the year is without problems.
