Our grandkids love those branded crustless sandwiches that we buy at the grocery store. Especially when we go on our family adventures! But they get pricey, especially if you eat at least two at a time. So when I saw this product I was cautiously optimistic, especially as it is plastic and I used to have an expensive metal brand! But I figured for less than $20 it would be comparable to two large boxes of store-bought sandwiches and worth a try. We have two granddaughters, a 10 year old and a four year old. They liked trying it out. Her favorite crustless sandwich is the hazelnut sandwich. So we tried it one night. It was incredibly easy to use! To be honest, the hardest part was spreading the nut butter on the bread. We found it easier to use a spoon for this. Even our four year old could make them with very little help from an adult! A few more tips that we've found particularly useful with children: Take a larger cookie cutter and use it to make a small indentation before applying peanut butter, jam, hazelnut paste, etc. This allows you to see where spreads should be placed. If you have two slices of bread together after making a sandwich, it helps if you use a large cutter to remove the crust by gently twisting it back and forth. This will remove the crust easily. It takes a little pressure to apply the sealer but even a four year old could do it with a little guidance and a 10 year old had no problem! A couple of times we found that we hadn't completely sealed it in a small area of the sandwich but that wasn't a problem, we took the sealant and just squeezed it onto that area and it sealed the sandwich! Just a note: when making a sandwich, don't add too much filling as this can cause it to seep through the bread easily. The manufacturer Savoy Chef knows how to treat its customers! Each package comes with cute little prank cards, they send a separate email with an e-booklet on how to use the product and a follow-up email because they heard about the problem from other customers (we had no problems) and wanted to make sure we were happy with their product! I cannot say enough good things about this product. I know I will buy these as gifts in the future and it will save our family money!
